Земетресение от 7 по Рихтер беше регистрирано в Аляска. Това сочат данните на Европейския сеизмологичен център.
Епицентърът на труса е бил на 13 километра северно от град Анкъридж, с дълбочина 31 км.
Земетресението е станало около 09:30 часа сутринта местно време.
Първоначално беше издадено предупреждение за цунами, което в последствие беше отменено.
